Plumbing

About the Program
Anyone planning to take the Massachusetts examination for the Journeyman Plumbing License must first complete five courses: Plumbing Tiers 1-5. (Students who graduated from a Massachusetts state-approved Chapter 74 program may be eligible to begin at Tier 4.)
State regulations permit students to take both Tier I and Tier II during the same calendar year, allowing students to finish the five plumbing tiers in four years.
Apprentice plumbers must complete the five-tier curriculum in order to be eligible to test for the journeyman plumber's license.
A valid Massachusetts apprenticeship card must be obtained before registering for Tiers II-V. If you have an application pending, please contact our office for more information at 781-861-7151.
Minuteman recommends students submit apprentice paperwork to the Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters by November 1 of each year to allow for ample processing time.
