Programs

Minuteman Technical Institute (MTI) offers 10-month, 15-week and Summer programs in a variety of career trades. The goal of these programs is for students to attain skills, hours of experience, and industry-recognized credentials that can assist them in obtaining licensing and job placement in high-demand, rewarding, sustainable careers.

Adult Summer Programs

MTI will be offering three tuition free summer programs for qualified candidates. The Carpentry, Plumbing and Welding programs will focus on serving unemployed or under-employed individuals, more specifically, recent high school graduates and students separating from the foster care system. BIPOC, LGBTQ+ students are encouraged to apply.

The programs are funded by Career Technical Initiative Grants through the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and the Governor's Workforce Skills Cabinet.

15-Week Programs

For the Fall of 2024 and Winter/Spring of 2025, MTI's 15-week programs are in Carpentry, Plumbing Code Tier 1, and Welding. Click on a program page for more details. These programs are tuition free for qualified candidates.

The 15-week programs are funded by the Career Technical Initiative Grants through the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the Governor's Workforce Skills Cabinet.

10 Month Programs

MTI's 10-month programs are in Automotive Technology, Electricity, and Cosmetology.

MTI's 10-month programs run the duration of a typical school year with classes beginning in late August and ending in June. Classes are held on weekday evenings, typically from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Some classes also meet on Saturday mornings. Schedules vary by course.

The 10-month programs require tuition, with lower costs for students who live in one of the Minuteman district's member towns. Payment plans are available for all applicants. For more information on the admissions process, visit our Admissions page.
